Glowing mice

Glowing mice, wow! The other night I was watching the Discovery Channel and saw something amazing. Scientists have recently been working with mice by adding a jelly fish gene to baby mice and when they put them under a black light they glow in the dark.

Because these mice are then florescent, they can see how their molecules interact. That is something that you cannot see in living humans, because obviously you can't make humans glow. The studies are being used for cancer research by testing drugs on the mice and see how it interacts with the body.

Some people may think it's inhumane, but I think it's just plain cool!
